Eeeeee I can barely contain my excitement. I saved for months and finally splurged on the Fujifilm x100s; I've had my eye on it for a long time as the perfect second camera to throw in my purse when I don't want to lug around my DSLR. APS-C sensor, stellar image quality, film-like noise, a silent shutter speed, a fast f2 fixed lens... it's a gorgeous little thing packaged up in some retro good looks. And to boot, I conquered my ultimate fear of interacting with the knowledgeable camera experts/nerds at the camera store, emerging victorious with a "You seem to know your way around exposure" comment. Since I got it on the way home from work I've put it to the test by shooting a squirmy cat in nonexistent light, and I can't wait to share some sample images soon!
